Thursday, 19. November 2009

It is expected that Chinese semiconductor market would rebound in the year 2010 along with electronics manufacturing and rapid development of electronic components.

As per the latest news published by ECN (Electronic Component News) Asia, electronic products will recover soon from global financial downturn, and thus it is expected that a vigorous rebound of semiconductor might be there in the year 2010 said iSuppli Corp.

From the past years the semiconductor market of the country has steadily generated a strong growth, but this year it was extensive decline. It was estimated that in the year 2009, the market of semiconductor in the country declined by 6.7% from the previous year. In 2009, it reached to $68 Billion from $72.9 billion. It was first expected that in the year 2009, there would be about 16.5% of decline in the global chip industry. But the drop down was 6.7% which is far less than the expected one. The major factors that are responsible for this fall are the declining exports.

The iSuppli Forecast stated that the china semiconductor market would reach to $80.1 Billion in the year 2010, indicating a very healthy growth of 17.8% in the market. Thus in 2010, china’s consumer electronics segment will also improve along with global economy. Due to this rise, the country’s electronic goods and chips export is also expected to reach about $17.8 Billion.

According to a report – “Semiconductor Industry Forecast to 2012” by RNCOS on market research, it is expected that in the upcoming few years, the country’s electronic information products market will able to maintain relatively good and high growth rate with around 20% AAGR due to increasing and growing  demand for semiconductors.

According to this research, the analyst said that in china the growth of semiconductor consumption market would remain much higher and faster than the global market in the coming year. And the rapid development in the electronic manufacturing and electronic components will drive the market to further and higher height.
