Integrated Product Offerings to Drive Security Software Market in 2009

The market of global security market is expected to grow about 8% till the end of the year 2009 with the upcoming integrated multi-products.

Sify business reported that the Gartner Inc. has strongly projected the market of worldwide security software to $14.5 billion in the year 2009. This projection of the security software market is about 8% more than that of 2008.

The enterprise of security software market consisting of several segments such as user provisioning, email security boundary, endpoint protection platform, etc, is expected to increase the market to $10.9 billion. This year the projection is nearly touching the growth rate of 9%. It is expected that in the year 2010, the security software market might grow up to 13% with total revenue of $16.3 billion.

This biggest growth of security software market will emerge from SMBs (Small and Medium Businesses), appliance based offerings and SaaS (Software as a Service). SMBs has spend a very high share of their budgets in the field of IT security. And also, as compare to other companies, the SMBs are in the security catch up mode presently.

The end users are also slowly getting more and more close to the best integration of multi-products, generally in the field of endpoint security and access management. Also, according to the report on market research – “Global IT Security Market Forecast to 2013”, the IT security risk landscape is flourishing along with the worldwide recession, due to reduction in IT budgets and the increasing staff layoffs that were exerting strong pressure on the IT administration, to precisely manage and configure the corporate systems.

While in the year 2009, the consumer security would remain in the top segment in the terms of total software revenue representing 25% in the overall market. And according to Gartner, there is a growth of 4% a segment of about $3.6 billion.

From the research made, it is estimated that despite the blow of economic recession, the market of worldwide security software will continue to remain strong in the year 2009, as the security is the most important area where any reductions in the budget can’t be afforded.
