Unisys report
According to solution provider Unisys report, from 2010 onwards organizations will use more proactive method of security which will implement new measures of verifying identity and protect the confidential information. Defence agencies and financial institutions will take up the charge. Here are given the four ways how Unisys will help the organizations to batten down their hatches.
Data protection is the order of the day
Experts of the Unisys said that organizations will now change from infrastructure security to data protection. This method of security is required because consumers and employees are increasingly using PDAs and Smartphone to conduct online business transactions. Since organizations were conducting online transactions so they require some new, advanced and more effective method then just pins and passwords to protect their data. And, since malware and spyware are increasing day by day, the new technology security system will help organizations to protect their data.
Going Beyond a crystal ball
Also, the companies will try to detect the reason of security attacks. Unisys noticed that the organizations likes to adopt holistic approach for their IT environments and also look the human element behind the illegal activities which help them to point out the breach occurring. In addition to that, the ports will also use similar type of predictive approach to point out the likely time of security breaches occurring.
Biometrics will play a larger role
Biometric identification tools like facial, fingerprint or iris scans will become common and important features at the custom and border checkpoints in airports, and will also be used for verifying data. Unisys experts also said that many governments have also invested in electronic passport infrastructure but till now not used yet.
You can’t protect everything
An organization usually attempts to protect everything. Unisys said that from 2010 onwards companies will prioritize security controls based on low, moderate and high levels of risks of the data. As a result, many companies will change their less sensitive public data to cloud computing environments for attaining cost savings. As new security models are made to address the multi tier data protection so more sensitive data will follow.
