Antitrust complaint Against Google in Germany

An antitrust complaint for Google in Germany has been filed by a newspaper publication. This antitrust complaint for Google in Germany has been a recent incident in this first month of the year. This is not the only complaint registered against Google as per German federal cartel office. They have come across not same but similar complaint against Google from a Berlin based mapping company. The Google has explained that they are working as per the rules and regulations of Germany and European Union. They are more then happy to disclose there business practices and there operating systems in Europe especially in Germany as they have faced thee antitrust complaint in Germany only.

The Germany complaint is not the first and only case Google has faced in antitrust issue it has faced a difficult situation in Italy as well in the month of a summer last year when Google office was raided by antitrust authorities. This news has been denied by the company. It is very important to understand the term antitrust and then only one may understand why Google has been facing such allegations especially in European countries. Antitrust refers to a policy by government which has been put in order to eliminate monopolies and bring into fare competition among companies for a better market share for all existing companies. It was believed to have started in USA in the year of 1890. The complaint against has come because Google has dominance for the eighty percent market in Germany, this clearly shows that Google has a kind of monopoly in the German market.

This regular and frequent complains have created a problem for Google to operate in those areas. It has also been noted that it is also a strategy used by German newspapers in order to enhance there publications sales. This newspaper publications complaint against Google is not a Germany only a Belgium newspaper also filed a antitrust complaint for Google as they said they were not getting anything from there links in Google. The newspaper representatives also said that Google gets a lot of traffic but there company gets nothing. The news paper claims that Google makes ten times more money then the newspapers and magazines in Germany. Considering all this issues lots of newspaper and magazines have decided to provide only paid digital services.
